Scout Personal Essentials List:
-Disclaimer: This list is quite general and can vary between different camps. However, most of these items will be necessary.
- Class “A” Shirt (tan shirt for traveling)
- Class “B” Shirt (blue or green for hiking – canoeing)
- Sleeping Pad for comfort and warmth (optional)
- Sleeping bag / Blanket / small pillow or use clothes brought
- Water Bottles (2-32 oz. containers) (Extremely Important)
- Sturdy Shoes (hiking boots preferably)
- Backpack or largest bag available to hold everything with cover or plastic bag
- Mess Kit (cup with lid/bowl/plate/utensils/hanging mess bag to dry items)
- Camp Chair
- Clothes (2 of each) (underwear/socks/pants/shirts)
- Sleepwear
- Towel
- Small plastic bag for dirty clothes
- Toiletries (toothpaste/deodorant/sunscreen/lip balm/insect repellent)
- Compass
- Whistle
- Poncho or raincoat
- Lightweight jacket, fleece or flannel shirt (when cooler in evening consider layers)
- Hat
- Sandals or lightweight sneakers around campsite
- Pocket knife (If passed required test)
- Small flashlight (extra set of batteries)
- Toilet paper/Kleenex
- Money (minimum $16)
